The Post University softball team will kick off the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament against No. 5 USciences on Thursday at noon on the campus of Georgian Court University.
The Eagles finished their regular season 20-18 overall and 14-10 in the CACC. The Devils finished up15-29 overall and 12-12 in the CACC.
Earlier this season, the Eagles swept USciences, 2-1 and 6-0. In game one, Kasey J usino hit an RBI double and
Brianna Koref had a sacrifice fly along with pitching a complete game in the win.
In game two, Maddison Calddwell pitched a shutout as the Eagles scored thrree runs in the third, highlighted by aÂ
Caitlin DeAngelis RBI double and a three-run sixth inning as
Julianna Cicala hit a two-=run double to give the Eagles the shutout win.
The tournament will be a double elimination style tournament. Post will either play Georgian Court or Holy Family at 2 p.m. or 4 p.m.
