The Post University men's golf team racked up the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) yearly awards on Wednesday as Ethan Phillips won Player and Rookie of the Year, head coach Steve Sokol won Coach of the Year and Ian Wivestad and Bill Koch were named to the All-CACC team.

Phillips – who also was named to the All-CACC team - is coming off a phenomenal first season as an Eagle notching two wins, The Charger Challenge with a 2-under par 69 and the Yellow Jacket Invitational where he shot a two-round score of 148 (+4).

Phillips also finished third in the CACC Championship, second at the Penmen Fall Invitational and tied for fifth at the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational.

Phillips is the fourth Eagle to win Rookie of the Year and fifth Eagle to win Player of the Year. The last person to win Player of the Year was Tommy Rees in the 2012-2013 season.

Sokol, in his ninth season as Eagles head coach, led the Post to a current No. 4 ranking in the East Region. As a team, the Eagles won two tournaments, The Battle at The Beech and most recently, the Yellow Jacket Invitational. The team also had five other top three finishes, including a third-place finish in the CACC Championship in October.

Koch had four top-15 finishes this season, including a win at The Battle At The Beech on March 22 where he finished with a 7-over par 151 (73-78).

Wivestad, a freshman had five top-10 finishes on the season, including tying for fifth at the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. He was also tied for sixth at the Penmen Invitational.
