South Hadley, Mass. – The Post University men's golf team won the Yellow Jacket Invitational with a +23, 599 while Ethan Phillips won the individual tournament and was the medalist at The Ledges Golf Club.

Franklin Pierce finished second with a +27, 603 while Bentley finished with a +38, 614 for third place

Phillips tied with teammate Riley Card for the top score, as they both finished with a 4-over par 148. Phillips won based on a tiebreaker having the better back nine score with a 35 on Tuesday.

Card led in par four scoring through the tournament at 1-under par and tied for the lead in pars with 25. Phillips was tied for second in par 3 scoring at 1-over par and tied for second in par 5 scoring at 2-under par.

It was the second win for Phillips this season, who also won the Charger Challenge. It was also the third win for an Eagles individual on the season as Bill Koch won The Battle At The Beech in March, a tournament the Eagles' team also won.

Phillips shot an even par 72 in round two while Card finished with his second round of 2-over par 72.

Ian Wivestad finished fifth after shooting 6-over par (74-76) while Koch shot a 9-over par 153 (76-77).

Jace Carlisle finished with a 14-over par 158. Carlisle led the tournament in par 3 scoring at 2-under par.

Up next, the Eagles will participate in the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional from May 5-7 at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, N.Y.
