Watertown, CT – After the first two rounds of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship, the Post University men's golf team is in second place after shooting 29-over par 597 (304-293) over the first 36 holes at the par 71 Watertown Golf Club.
Bill Koch was the top performer for the Eagles and is tied for fourth after shooting 5-over par (74-73) through the first two rounds.
Just two shots behind Koch is teammate
Riley Card, who shot 7-over par on the day (76-73) and is tied for sixth.
Ethan Phillips is tied for ninth, at 8-over par (75-75).
Koch and Card both are tied for the lead in birdies with eight over the first two rounds. Phillips had six birdies on the day.
Goldey-Beacom leads after the first two rounds with a 20-over par 588 (289-299). Wilmington is in third at 40-over par (309-209). The Eagles had the lowest score in the second round.
Ian Wivestad had the low round of the day for the Eagles, shooting a 72 in the second round after an 80 in the first round. He is in 12
th at 10-over par.
Jace Carlisle shot 15-over par (79-78).
Wivestad had one of just three Eagles on the day to go with a birdie.
Post leads the field in par 5 scoring at 10-under par and a commanding lead in birdies with 31. Goldey-Beacom has 19.
Mason Kucy of Goldey-Beacom leads the field after shooting even-par (69-73) and holds a three-shot lead over Tyler Cleaves of Wilmington and Cesar Castellano of Felician.
The final round begins Tuesday, with a traditional start with the first group teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
