Box Score 2 Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University softball team dropped a pair of games to Wilmington on Saturday afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader, 2-0 and 9-0.
The Eagles now sit at 7-5 on the season.
Five different Eagles had hits in game one, including Demi Rivera, who doubled.
Wilmington scored one run in the top of the first, and one in the seventh on a homer from Annie Davila.
The Eagles threatened in the bottom of the first with two on and one out but were unable to get a run across.
Bridget Betley pitched a complete game, striking out three and giving up just one earned run.
In game two, the Wildcats (10-8, 10-4 CACC) took command of the game with a five-run third, including another home run from Davila.
Allyson Wallauer had the lone hit for the Eagles.
The Eagles return to action Sunday as they host Concordia at 1 p.m. in a CACC doubleheader at LaMoy Field.
