Tyler Melko and
Michael Munson were name to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team on Thursday afternoon.
The two Eagles were named to the Division II District 1 team, encompassing the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), the East Coast Conference (ECC) and the Northeast10 Conference.
Both Melko and Munson were both sporting a 3.85 GPA. Melko is a Criminal Justice major while Munson is a Business Administration. They are the first Post University baseball players to make the CoSIDA All-District Team.
The Eagles, along with Bentley were the only teams to have two players make the District 1 team.
To be eligible for the CoSIDA All-Academic team, a player must have at least a 3.3 GPA and be a significant contributor to a team. With the early ending of the 2020 Spring sports season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a player's career was taken into account, whereas in normal circumstances it would take into account the current season.
In Munson's career as a pitcher, he has appeared in 40 career games, with a 5-1 record overall, to go with 11 saves and a 3.38 ERA in 66.6 innings with 88 strikeouts. Melko has appeared in 57 games in his career, batting .340 with eight home runs, 48 RBI and 71 hits.
Melko and Munson were also named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) earlier this month.
