WATERBURY, Conn. – Freshman goaltender
Danaée St-Germain (Metcalfe, Ontario) of the Post University women's ice hockey team was named New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
St-Germain tallied 39 saves on 41 total shots last week, helping the Eagles skate to a 2-2 tie against New England College. On the season, St-Germain has started five games and boasts a team-high .907 save percentage and 243 saves.
Freshmen
Kayleigh Miller (Braselton, Ga.) and
Ashlynn Neurauter (Kamloops, British Columbia) were each named to the honor roll. Miller had a goal and assist against New England while Neurauter made 27 stops in goal against Southern Maine.
The Eagles return home on Friday, Dec. 8 against Nichols College. Puck drops in Shelton, Conn. at 8:15 p.m.
