Caldwell, N.J. -Â Sophomore Joey Picone (Washingtonville, N.Y.) was 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Post University baseball team won the second game of a doubleheader against Caldwell on Thursday in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tilt.
The Eagles now stand at 9-12 overall and 5-3 in the CACC.
Sophomore Evan Devico (Waterbury, Conn.) was great on the mound, giving up just one run on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven.
The two teams swapped a run in the second inning as Picone singled to score senior Dylan Pastor (Hewlett, N.Y.) in the top half of the inning. In the bottom half, Paul Marinello's double scored William Levier to tie the game, 1-1.
Post would break the tie in the sixth, as freshman Brendon Emigholz (West Islip, N.Y.) singled to score Pastor, who reached on an error.
Redshirt freshman Luke Leonardi (Holbrook, N.Y.) would give the Eagles an insurance run in the top of the eighth, as he ripped a double down the line that scored Picone. Picone had reached on a single earlier in the inning. Post added one more as a throwing error from shortstop XYZ off of the bat of Emigholz scored Leonardi, giving the Eagles the 4-1 lead.
Freshman Nick Arnold (West Islip, N.Y.) pitched two innings of perfect relief for the save.

Batchelor and Caldwell starter Robert Humes kept the bats silent until the top of the eighth, when Pastor homered to left to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.Â
