Preview: Eagles Head To Nyack

Team Looking To Continue High Offensive Output



Waterbury, Conn. – The Eagles go on the road to take on Nyack in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
The Eagles are currently 13-14 overall and 8-4 in the CACC, putting them in third place in the conference. They are coming off of a doubleheader split against Concordia on April 15. Post dropped the first game, 11-1, but had an offensive explosion in game two, winning 14-9.

In the 14-9 win, six players had two or more hits, as the Eagles had 16 on as a team. Sophomore Drew Deangelis (Robbinsville, N.J.) was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Senior Dylan Pastor (Hewlett, N.Y.) was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI.

Top Ten
Some Eagles have found themselves in the top ten in some key CACC statistics. Grad student Mike Costello (Manassas, Va.) is sixth in the conference in strikeouts with 45. Freshman Don Walsh (Hamilton, N.J.) is tied for second in home runs with three. Freshman Nick Arnold (West Islip, N.Y.) is tied for third in saves with three.
 
About Nyack
The Warriors are currently having a tough go of it this season, as they sit in ninth place in the CACC at 7-23 overall and 3-7 in the CACC. They have lost their last three games, including a doubleheader to Felician on April 16, 8-1 and 5-2.

They are led offensively by Michael Langston, who leads the team in batting average at .286 and on-base percentage at .375. Hilario Vidaurre is tied for second in steals in the CACC with 14.
