Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University baseball team looks to continue its hot start in conference play as it takes on Concordia in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for noon at Municipal Stadium.
The Eagles are currently sitting at 12-13 overall and 7-3 in the CACC, which puts them in third place.

Post is coming off of a 3-1 weekend, where they swept CACC rival Felician, 4-3 and 8-2, and split a doubleheader with Mercy (W, 6-4; L, 4-1) in an out of conference matchup.

Alex Wright (Butler, N.J.) was named CACC Rookie of the Week for his performance over the weekend. Wright batted .429 (6-for-14) over the weekend as for the Eagles. Wright was 4-for-8 against Felician on April 11, with a double, triple and two runs scored to go along with three RBI. In the 6-4 win over Mercy in game one, he went 2-for-4 with a run, RBI and a stolen base.

Don Walsh (Hamilton, N.J.) is currently tied for second in the CACC in home runs with three. On the mound, grad student
Mike Costello (Manassas, Va.) is fifth in the CACC in strikeouts with 45 and ninth in ERA at 2.27. Classmate
Zach Batchelor (Monroe Township, N.J.) is eighth with a 2.23 ERA.

About ConcordiaThe Clippers come into the game at 12-10 overall and 6-4 in the CACC, putting them right behind the Eagles in the CACC. They are coming off of a doubleheader split against Caldwell, where they dropped the first game in 10 innings, 4-3, but rebounded to win the second, 6-3. Leading the way offensively for the Clippers is Erik Poldroo, who is third in batting average at .387, tenth in RBI with 18, and tied for second in home runs with three. Cristian Fiorito is also one to look out for. He is tid for the CACC lead in home runs with four.
