WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University softball team will host three consecutive home games starting with Felician College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader on Monday, Mar. 30. The Eagles will welcome the College of Saint Rose on Tuesday, Mar. 31 in a non-conference ballgame and CACC-opponent Caldwell University on Wednesday, Apr. 1. All of the action will be held at Lamoy field where the Eagles are (Home Record) this season.

All-Time Series vs. FelicianThe Golden Falcons have been a worthy opponent in recent years, however the Eagles hold the upper hand in the all-time series 15-14. The teams have played to an even 7-7 record at Lamoy Field in previous meetings, but the Eagles will look to build on their doubleheader sweep on the road a season ago.

Scouting the OppositionThe Golden Falcons will play their first CACC game of the year when they face Post on Monday. Thus far Felician is 3-8 on the season and will enter play with a .311 team batting average. Senior Ciera Clark (Granite Bay, Calif.) is leading the CACC with 19 RBIs. According to the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Falcons were picked to finish eighth (out of 14) in the conference.

All-Time Series vs. Saint RoseIn just 10 previous meetings the all-time series is knotted at 5-5, however the Eagles have been better at home with a 3-1 record against the Golden Knights at Lamoy Field.

Scouting the OppositionSaint Rose is 6-8 overall and 1-2 in the Northeast-10 conference. The Golden Knights are coming off of a doubleheader split to Adelphi University. The Eagles will face a Saint Rose pitching staff with a combined 2.50 era on the season. According to the Northeast-10 Conference Coaches' Poll, Saint Rose was picked to finish seventh (of seven) in the Southwest Division.

All-Time Series vs. CaldwellThe Eagles haven't fared well against Caldwell in the past, winning only seven of the previous 31 meetings. Post is 1-13 at Lamoy Field when the Cougars come to town, and the Eagle bats have scored just six runs combined in their previous five games against the opponent.

Scouting the OppositionThe Caldwell Cougars stand at 6-8 overall and 2-3 on the road. Caldwell most recently swept Merrimack College and is riding a three-game winning streak. This season the Cougars were picked to finish atop the CACC with 12 first place votes from the preseason coaches' poll.

Leading the WaySamantha Esque (Springfield, Pa.) and
Emily Schaffer (Hazlet, N.J.) both have two wins on the season. Esque leads the team with a 0.98 earned run average.
Korie McDonald (Middleboro, Mass.) is hitting .433 over 30 at-bats and
Kayla Kresley (Alburtis, Pa.) leads the Eagles with four homeruns and 10 RBIs.

Preseason PrognosticationsThe Post softball team was selected to finish sixth in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles received 122 points in the poll as voted by the conference's 14 head coaches, just behind fifth-place Dominican. Caldwell received 194 points and 12 first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll. Defending conference champion Wilmington was selected second with 157 points and one first-place vote.
