WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University softball team will host back-to-back Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double headers at Lamoy Field. The Eagles will take on Dominican College on Friday, Mar. 27 at 2 p.m. and Wilmington University on Saturday, Mar. 28 at 11 a.m.

All-Time Series vs. DominicanThe Eagles stand at 11-21 against Dominican in the all-time series and 5-7 at Lamoy Field. In their most recent meeting, the Eagles defeated the Chargers 3-2 in the first game of the CACC tournament a season ago.

Scouting the OppositionDominican is 2-0 in CACC play, and 6-8 overall on the season. The Chargers are riding a four-game winning streak and recently defeated Wilmington in a doubleheader sweep. Thus far, Dominican is 4-1 on the road and will enter play on Friday with a .241 team batting average. According to the 2015 CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll, Dominican was picked to finish fifth in the conference, just above Post.

Scouting the OppositionWilmington is 2-4 in CACC play, and 11-10 overall on the season. The Wildcats are riding a four-game skid and were recently swept by CACC-opponent Holy Family. Miranda Pedersen (El Segundo, Calif.) has been the hot bat for the Wildcats leading the team with four homeruns and 17 RBIs. The Wildcats were picked to finish second in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Preseason PrognosticationsThe Post softball team was selected to finish sixth in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles received 122 points in the poll as voted by the conference's 14 head coaches, just behind fifth-place Dominican. Caldwell received 194 points and 12 first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll. Defending conference champion Wilmington was selected second with 157 points and one first-place vote.
