The Eagles will take on University of Bridgeport in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The action continues the very next day when Post plays host to American International College Tuesday, Mar. 24 in another non-conference doubleheader scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

All-Time Series vs. BridgeportThe two teams have matched up well in previous meetings with the all-time series knotted at 8-8. Against the Purple Knights, the Eagles are even at home at 5-5. The teams have split each of their previous three doubleheaders.

Scouting the OppositionBridgeport, an East Coast Conference (ECC) member school, stands at 4-10 thus far on the season. Like Post, the Purple Knights competed in the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. and return for its first regular season doubleheader against the Eagles. In 46 plate appearances, senior Jessica Griesinger (Brewster, N.Y.) is hitting .391 and will be the impact player for Bridgeport. The Purple Knights were picked to finish sixth in the ECC according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll.

All-Time Series vs. American InternationalThe Yellow Jackets have had the upper hand in the all-time series having won eight of the previous 13 meetings. Post split its most recent doubleheader with American International and are 3-3 at Lamoy field against the opponent.

Scouting the OppositionAmerican International, a Northeast-10 Conference member school, is 1-7 overall on the season. The Yellow Jackets will face Post fresh off an eight-game stint in Clermont, Fla. and a recent 10-2 win over Molloy College. Sophomore Yami Lopez-Perez (Springfield, Mass.) has been productive in the middle of the Yellow Jacket lineup, leading the team in RBIs (4) and total bases (10).

Preseason PrognosticationsThe Post softball team was selected to finish sixth in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles received 122 points in the poll as voted by the conference's 14 head coaches, just behind fifth-place Dominican. Caldwell received 194 points and 12 first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll. Defending conference champion Wilmington was selected second with 157 points and one first-place vote.
