Riding Two-Game Winning Streak

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University Eagles baseball team will look to extend its two game winning streak as it takes on Lynn University in an out of conference game in Lantana, Fla. on Saturday.

Post is currently 2-2 on the young season, and are in third place. Only four teams in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference have played games thus far this season.

The Eagles are coming off of a doubleheader sweep against Alderson Broaddus on Feb.21 in Morehead City, N.C.

In game one, sophomore Drew Deangelis (Robbinsville, N.J.) hit an RBI single in the top of the sixth inning to give the Eagles the lead in a 3-1 2in. Freshman David Sarmiento (Miami, Fla.) also drove in two runs in the game for the Eagles. Senior Don Crook (Meriden, Conn.) picked up the win for Post, striking out five and giving up just four hits in five innings.

In game two, the Eagles came back from a 4-1 deficit, by scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth to give the Eagles a 5-4 win. Sophomore Joey Picone (Washingtonville, N.Y.) drove in the game winning run after a two-run single by Maxime Robillard (Blaineville, Quebec) and an RBI single by freshman Alex Wright (Butler, N.J.).
