Women’s Tennis Drops Season-Opener

Eagles Fall To Philadelphia 9-0

WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's tennis team fell 9-0 in its season opener against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival Philadelphia on Sunday.
 
In the number one doubles spot, freshmen Lisa Dubrovskya and Carolin Sure (Waldshut, Germany) battled against Olivia Amado and Julia Arruda, but fell 9-7. Post fell 8-0 in the other two doubles matches.
 
Dubrovskya was defeated by Arruda 6-4, 6-4 in the top singles spot. Sure won three games in her singles match but fell 6-3, 6-0.
 
Post will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 13 on the road against Goldey-Beacom. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
