Kaitlin Derby (Douglaston, N.Y.) pitched out of the jam without allowing a run.
Â
In the bottom of the inning, freshman
Kristen Owens (Exton, Pa.) and DeMartino each hit one-out singles before Ragazzone out Post in front 3-0 with her bomb. Elizabeth Hogan drew the Chargers closer with a solo shot in the third.
Â
Both teams scattered hits over the next few innings. Derby got out of the fourth inning on just three pitches after a popup and groundouts.
