WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University baseball team will escape the arctic temperatures in Connecticut and head down to sunny Florida as they play seven games on their Spring Break Trip.

Post currently sits at 0-3 after dropping games in Virginia to open the season.

Thus far, senior
Mike Shada (Holtsville, N.Y.) has been the story early on for Post, hitting two home runs early on with six RBI.

The Eagles will start their week in Vero Beach, Fla., where they will take on University of Mary on March 3, and Rochester College on March 4 at historic Dodgertown. It will be the first time Post has faced either team in school history. The Marauders currently sit at 0-4, having dropped two doubleheaders last week against St. Mary's.

Rochester has not played a game thus far this season, but will open their season on March 1.

The Eagles will then move on to Ft. Pierce, Fla. where they will play a twin bill on March 5. Their first game will be against University of Mary again. In their second game, they will get a little Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) taste when they take on Nyack. The Warriors are currently 0-4 on the season. Larry Vidaurre leads the Warriors with seven hits on the season.

From there, the Eagles move on to beautiful Palm Beach, Fla., where they will take on LIU Post and Assumption on March 8. LIU Post has yet to play a game this season, and will have its first game on March 6. Assumption will make its season debut on March 8.

Finally, the Eagles will wrap-up its trip against University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in a doubleheader on March 9 in Ft. Pierce, Fla. The Mountain Cats already have six games under their belt and are 1-5 on the season. Nate Negri has 11 hits and five RBI on the season for the Mountain Cats.Â
