WATERBURY, Conn. - The Post University softball team concludes the 2012 regular season when it hosts Chestnut Hill in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader. First pitch of the Senior Day games is scheduled for 3 p.m. at LaMoy Field.
Post will honor the four senior student-athletes –
Kim Bentson,
Cassidie Ern,
Amy Mantha and
Samantha Pagano - following the doubleheader. Junior
Lianna May has a 12-game hitting streak against conference foes. She is hitting .434 against conference foes this season.
Chestnut Hill will play its final conference doubleheader at Post on Friday afternoon. The Griffins pair of wins have come against Bloomfield and Nyack during CACC twinbills. Gianna Cavallo leads the team with22 hits and .324 average.

ALL-TIME SERIES:
The Eagles are 7-1 in the last eight meetings with Chestnut Hill, a series which dates back to the 2008 campaign. The Eagles have won the last four contests and are 4-0 at home during the stretch.
SENIOR DAY:
Friday will mark the final home games in the career of four Post players:
Kim Bentson,
Cassidie Ern,
Amy Mantha and
Samantha Pagano. This group, which has qualified for the CACC Tournament in each of the last three years, were members of head coach
Tracey Garofalo's first recruiting class at Post University.
MAY-DAY:
Junior
Lianna May is batting .434 this season in CACC games, and she has hit safely in each of the last 12 conference contests. From the leadoff spot, May has scored 22 times and she has reached base 24 times as the leadoff batter in an inning.
BEST CACC START EVER:
Post got off to its best start since joining the CACC this year after it swept doubleheaders against Philadelphia on March 18 and at Concordia on March 20. The Eagles were 4-0 as they entered a twinbill against Dominican in a battle for first place.
ON THE HORIZON:
The top eight teams in the CACC standings will qualify for the conference tournament. The double elimination tournament will begin on Thursday, April 26, at 10 a.m. Georgian Court University will host the event.
