Sophomore pitcher Ashley Cummings (Stafford, Va.) held the Penmen without a hit through four innings of work; however, she allowed a double and single in consecutive at bats to start the fifth. Kate Stanley got Southern New Hampshire (7-3) on the board in the fifth on an RBI single off the bat of Amanda Barton.

The Penmen claimed a 4-3 lead in the sixth when an Ali Maloof triple scored a pair of runs.
