WATERBURY, Conn. - The Post University softball team will conclude its first month of competition during the 2012 season with a trio of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheaders. The Eagles will begin the week at home against Nyack on Tuesday, and after a doubleheader at Felician on Friday, Post will host Goldey-Beacom on Saturday afternoon at LaMoy Field.
The Eagles earned a split on Monday at Bridgeport and used a seven-run fifth to turn in a 9-1 five-inning win in game two.
Christina Marino's pinch hit triple cleared the bases and drove in three runs to highlight the frame.
Nyack won its first game of the season on Monday, a 7-1 victory at Chestnut Hill, as pitcher Chelsea Macaluso tossed a one-hitter in the opener. She finished game two 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs.
