NEW HAVEN, Conn (May 5, 2011) Post University's softball team will compete in the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Thursday at Georgian Court in Lakewood, NJ.

The No. 6 seeded Eagles will take on No. 3 Dominican in the opening round with a game time scheduled for noon. Post is (23-22, 15-11 CACC) while the Chargers are (30-16, 19-7 CACC).

The Chargers have three All-Conference players in sophomore shortstop Julie Plante, sophomore catcher Ashley Corrao, and sophomore pitcher Delaney Childers. Amy Mantha and Stephanie DeMartino made the All-Conference team for Post University.

The two teams met earlier in the season and split with the Eagles taking game one 4-3 and the Chargers game two 10-2.
