WATERBURY, Conn. (April 7, 2011)---Christina Udris had another great afternoon at the plate, and Post University swept Assumption College at LaMoy Field on Thursday.

The Eagles (12-14, 3-1 CACC) won the first game, 6-5, behind a terrific pitching performance by freshman Alysha Pieta, who threw a complete game and earned her first-ever collegiate victory.

The Eagles erupted for all six runs in the third inning. Christina Udris, Casey Sclafani and Kim Bentson each came up with RBI singles in the inning, and catcher Stephanie DeMartino blasted a two-run double to centerfield to give the Eagles a 6-1 lead.

Alysha Pieta also smashed an RBI double to center in the inning.

Post University took game two, 6-3, on the strength of six solid innings from Ashley Cummings, who struck out four and allowed just one earned run.

Christina Udris finished 2-for-2 with an RBI single. Amy Mantha got the start behind the plate, and went 1-for-3 with an RBI single.

The Eagles return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Wilmington to take on Goldey-Beacom College.
