WATERBURY, Conn. (April 21, 2011) Post University's softball team fell to Georgian Court Thursday afternoon in a conference two step 7-0 and 5-2. The Eagles are now 12-8 in conference action.

In game one, the Lady Eagles struggled offensively with four hits. Post had few chances on which they couldn't cash in on. Their best chance may have come in both the fifth and seventh innings.

Kim Bentson and Lianna May where left stranded after both singled in the fifth. In the seventh, Christina Marino walked and was out at second on a Bentson fielder's choice. Sam Pagano singled in the inning, but the Eagles were unable to make the scoreboard move.

Georgian Court scored 7 runs on 6 hits on their way to a 7-0 victory.

In game two trailing 5-0, the Lady Eagles found their bats as Brandi Davis led off the fifth inning with a double to right center. She would later comer around to score on a Stephanie DeMartino double. Christina Udris picked up an RBI single in the inning making it 5-2, but the Eagles could not get any closer as that stood to be the final score.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday, April 26th for their final home game of the season taking on Caldwell College.
