WATERBURY, Conn. (April 15, 2011)---The Post University baseball team defeated Concordia College, 9-0, Friday evening at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury.

Steven Corbett pitched a complete game shutout, striking out eight and walking no one in an outstanding perfromance.

The Eagles (16-10, 5-3 CACC) were led by Travis Locascio, who went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI singles.

Brendan Barry added a two-run single and an RBI double, and Ralph Dieguez and Russell Sirko each came through with run-scoring singles.

Post University took a 3-0 lead into the top of the eighth, then exploded for six runs to blow the game wide open.

Aaron Lerma and Locasioc led off with walks setting up a Ralph DIEGUEZ RBI single.
Russ Sirko came up hitting an RBI single scoring Locascio and moved into scoring position on a wild pitch.

After Kevin Fearon was hit by a pitch the based were loaded as Dieguez scored on a passed ball.

With two away Wong walked followed by a Brendan Barry 2 RBI single. Wong would score on a passed ball giving the Eagles a 9-0 lead heading into the top of the ninth.

Anthony Pisano went 7.0 innings and took the loss for Concordia (10-21, 4-8 CACC).

The Eagles will return to action tomorrow, when they host Philadelphia University at Municipal Stadium.
