WATERBURY, Conn. (March 25, 2011)---The Post University Eagles baseball team dropped a pair of games at Stonehill College on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles (10-6) were blanked, 2-0, in game one, thanks to a terrific pitching performance by Stonehill's Eric Haughn. Haughn went 5.2 innings and struck out nine, walking just two and scattering three hits.
Dan Steers was also exceptional in the loss, going the full 6.0 innings, striking out five and walking just one.
Stonehill College (14-5) recieved another outstanding pitching performance in game two, as Shane Penzone went five innings, allowing just two earned runs in a 4-2 victory.
The Eagles found themselves trailing 4-0 early, but battled back to score runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to get within striking distance.

Felix Osoria ripped an RBI single up the middle in the fourth, and first baseman
Travis Locascio homered in the fifth to bring the Eagles to within 4-2.
Reliever Michael von Stein got the final out of the game to seal it for Stonehill College.
Post University returns to action March 31, when they travel to New Haven, to take on Southern Connecticut State. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm.
