WEST PALM BEACH, FL (March 8, 2011) The Post University Baseball program returned to the diamond Tuesday afternoon beating USciences 10-1 and followed up the win with a tough loss to American International College 5-2.

In game one, junior Cutler Ruby threw 7 solid innings of shut-out ball, striking out seven and walking two while giving up just four hits en route to his first win of the season.

The Eagles pounded out 13 hits with senior Alex Jahn blasting his first homerun of the season and finishing the day 3-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Senior Brendan Barry went 2-6 with 3 runs scored and an RBI. Junior Travis Locascio went 2-3 as senior Ralph Dieguez went 2-5 with a double, a triple and 4 RBI's.

Game two saw American International score four runs to take an early lead in the game that the Eagles couldn't overcome.

With a 3-0 lead in the second inning, Post cut into the deficit when Ralph Dieguez reached base on an infield hit and scored after a fielder's choice, a stolen base and an error. The Eagles trailed 3-1 heading into the bottom of the second.

AIC would get that run back holding a 4-1 edge until the seventh inning when Dieguez was hit by a pitch and driven in on a single by junior Aaron Lerma making it 4-2. The Eagles would put the tying run on base, but couldn't cash in on the opportunity as AIC held on for a 5-2 victory.

Lerma went 1-4 with an RBI with Dieguez scoring both runs. Senior right handed pitcher Tom Sirois had a gutsy performance through seven innings, striking out ten with no walks while giving up just seven hits and only two earned runs.

The Eagles return to competition on Saturday against Chestnut Hill.
