Nyack Defeats Post University Baseball 5-2

NYACK, NY (April 8, 2010) Post University's baseball team fell to Nyack College Thursday night on the road 5-2.
Brendan Barry had four hits on the night for the Eagles. The loss drops Post University just below .500 with a 13-14 overall and 5-6 CACC record.
Post University would score its two runs in the top of the first inning. Both
Dan Luisi and Barry singled to lead off the inning. They advanced into scoring position when
Travis Locascio reached on an error by second baseman Pierre Crespo. Luisi would score on a throwing error and Barry scored on a passed ball putting the Eagles up 2-0.
Nyack would not score until the bottom of the fourth when they tied the game at two. The winning run was scored in the 5th. With two outs Zach McVadon doubled and scored on a Carlos Hidalgo single. Nyack scored one run in both the 7th and 8th to win the game 5-2.
The Eagles will compete at Bridgeport on Friday beginning at 3pm.
