WATERBURY, Conn (April 22, 2010) Post University's softball team lost two games to Dominican College on Thursday afternoon at LaMoy Field in Waterbury. The Eagles are now 10-12 in conference play in the last week of the regular season.

In game one, it was all Dominican winning 13-0. Stephanie Carrillo was the starting pitcher for the Eagles allowing 10 hits and seven runs. Ashley Cummings relieved her in the fifth inning and finished the contest.

Dominican's Cara Piasecki had five RBI in the first game.

In game two, Lindsey Heiser pitched the entire game as the Chargers took command on the first pitch with when Julie Plante hit a homerun over the right field fence.

Trailing 7-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth, Post University would score their only two runs of the afternoon. Sam Canning led-off the inning with a single and moved to second when Heiser grounded out. Canning scored on an RBI from Cassidie Ern. Lianna May singled to get on base and scored after Sam Pagano reached on an error making it 7-2.

Dominican would be too strong though, holding on for a 10-2 victory.

Post University will be back in action again on Saturday at home against USP.
