Baseball Falls to Southern 8-3

New Haven, Conn (April 12, 2010) Post University's Baseball team fell to Southern Connecticut State Monday afternoon 8-3 in a non-conference game. The Eagles are now 13-17 throughout the 2010 season. 

The Eagles went through seven pitchers in the contest beginning with Mike Perry continuing through Tim 
McCarthy.
In the top of the first inning, the Eagles scored first after Todd Blair and Dan Luisi both walked to begin the game. When Travis Locascio was hit by a pitch, the bases were loaded allowing Brendan Barry to grab an RBI scoring Blair on the fielder's choice. 

In the bottom of the inning the Owls quickly responded. Kyle Rosadino singled to center field to lead-off the inning. He moved to second on a sacrifice and third on a passed ball. Rosadino would score when AJ Rouleau reached on an error by Dan Luisi. Before the inning came to a close, the score was 3-1 Southern.

The Eagles trailed 8-1 heading into the 8th inning, Blair and Cody Kingsley reached on an error. Blair scored on another error, this time committed by pitcher Ed Bekthe making it 8-2. Kingsley scored as well on a Ralph Dieguez RBI settling a final score of 8-3.

Post University will be back in action again at American International on Wednesday.
