Men's Basketball Defeats AIC 70-62 on the Road

SPRINGFIELD, MA (January 2, 2010) – Post University's Men's Basketball team defeated the AIC Yellow jackets on the road Saturday afternoon 70-62. The win improves the Eagles record to 4-8 overall. 

Trevon Hamlet lead the Eagles with 20 points adding 5 rebounds. Jon Lucky had a double double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Byron Richards scored 14 for AIC.

At halftime the Eagles had built a 43-34 lead. AIC started the game with a 6-3 run, but by the 3:11 mark Post University was in control 39-24. 

AIC outscored the Eagles in the second half 28-27. With 10:30 to play in the game, AIC's Richards hit a jumper from beyond the arc making the game 54-51 Post. The yellow jackets would not get any closer than three as consecutive layups from Hamlet, and one by Rashamell Vereen put Post University up by 9. 

Post University will play again at home against Caldwell on Tuesday night. Game time is set for 8pm following the Women's game which tips off at 6pm.
