In the first game, with Stephanie Carrillo pitching, Post picked up a 4-1 victory. The game was scoreless and looked to be a pitching battle between Carrillo and Bryttne Nelson of Queens College. Queens would score first in the 4th inning when Danielle DiGioia doubled and was batted in by Roseann Mercurio.

Post would score all 4 runs in the 4th inning on 5 hits and 2 errors. Emily Archer, Ern and Gizzi all singled to load the bases with only one out. Amanda Prince singled to right field and picked up an RBI scoring Archer. Lindsey Heiser singled to right field bringing in Ern. Carrillo reached on an error by the third baseman Sara Koumou, with 2 RBIs as Prince and Gizzi both scored.

The Eagles would hold Queens to 4-1 and cruise to the win.

In game two, Tracey Garofalo started pitcher Lindsey Heiser. Cassidie Ern came in to pitch with 2 runners in scoring position and was able to prevent any more runs and Post went into the bottom of the 2nd trailing 1-0.

In the top of the 3rd. Ern got in a jam with no outs and the bases loaded. Laura Guzman hit a line drive to Eagle shortstop Samantha Canning who turned and threw to second for the double play. Roseann Mercurio came up next grounding to Canning, who ran to second for the unassisted out.

Ern would come out of the game in the 4th inning with one out, and runners on first and second. Carrillo came in and got out of the inning without allowing any runs.

In the bottom of the 4th and Post trailing 1-0, Kim Bentson reached on an error by the pitcher and then stole second. Gizzi grounded to third base and beat out the throw, while Bentson advanced to third. Samantha Pagano came into the game to pinch run for Gizzi and advanced to second with a sacrifice hit from Amanda Prince. Post was unable to capitalize on the situation when Canning grounded out and went into the 5th still trailing by one.

The fifth inning would be the last solid opportunity for Post to win the game, as they fell to Queens College 2-0.

Post will play again on Saturday on the road against Philadelphia University in a CACC matchup.
