Box Score AMHERST, N.Y. -- The Eagles lose a hard fought battle with Daemen University in today's match up losing 5-3 after coming back from a 3-0 deficit.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Post University got off to a slow start in this one as they went down 3-0 in just 13:51 of game time. Daemen got on the board first with a goal by freshman forward Zainab Khalid just 1:15 into the game followed by a goal from Aliyah Hien in the ninth minute and finally a goal by Macayla Hansen on a penalty kick to make it a quick 3-0 lead for the Wildcats.
The Eagles didn't get discouraged and kept fighting as they got on the board with their first goal of the game just a minute and some change after Daemen's third goal. It was Eagles freshman forward
Lizbeth Constante with a shot to the bottom right corner that got past the Wildcats goalkeeper to make it 3-1 just 15 minutes into the game. The Eagles didn't stop there as just over one minute later they scored their second goal of the game after a deep shot from
Avia Burns was punched away by Daemen's goalkeeper Rylee Kumer, but took an Eagles bounce and ended up finding
Audrey Grzeszczak who assisted
Emely Velasquez for the goal. Post ended up tying the game at 3-3 with a goal scored by
Lindsay Kin in the bottom left hand corner with an assist from
Kaira Cruz.
Daemen got on the board 17 minutes into the second half with a goal scored by Bridey McKenzie which ended up being the game winning goal as the Wildcats would go on to win by a score of 5-3.
The Eagles were out shot 17-9 (11-5 on goal) in this match. Goalkeeper
Aryn Nisbet played the the full 90 minutes making six saves and allowing five goals.
