WATERBURY, Conn. -- Sophomore goalkeeper
Celine Gubser shined in her first career start in net for the Eagles recording 13 saves and allowing two goals.
Lizbeth Constante recorded the lone goal for Post. Dillan Sorino scored the game winning goal for Jefferson in the 84th minute of the match to win 2-1 over the Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jefferson University got on the board in the 12th minute with a goal from Jane DeVoll to make it a quick 1-0 lead over the Eagles. After the early goal both teams defenses tightened up as there were no more goals scored for the rest of the first half.
Post was able to respond to the early goal scored by Jefferson with a goal of their own coming in the 59th minute after the Rams goalie Kali Reddy got pulled out of the goal to clear the ball away but it went right to Eagles forward
Lizbeth Constante who put it in the back of the net from 40 yards out to tie the game 1-1.
The Rams Tessa Hughes took a shot that was saved by
Celine Gubser but was punched away right to the foot of Dillan Sorino who found the back of the net to notch the game winning goal for Jefferson.
The Eagles defense was very strong throughout the match but would ultimately fall to the Rams 2-1. Sophomore goalkeeper Gubser performed very well in her first start for the Eagles as she made 13 saves in net and allowed two goals.

The Eagles return to action October 6th at 3:30 pm at Dominican University. Post is 9-12-3 all time against the Chargers with a 2-0 loss in their last match up on September 30, 2025.
