WATERBURY, Conn. -- As the spring season got underway for Post University Women's Tennis against Salve Regina University on the road last week, sophomore Julie Merlin ended up being named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Monthly Honor Roll for the Eagles after going a perfect 2-0 in that lone match, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. 

Despite the 4-3 team loss to the Seahawks, Merlin teamed up with freshman Savannah Croft in the #1 Doubles for a 6-3 victory, before winning the #1 Singles in three sets after dropping set one, 6-4, as she came back to win the next two sets by 6-4 scores. The sophomore is now 7-7 this year in Singles play as well as 3-11 in Doubles play. 

Post University comes home on Sunday to take on Bentley University at 3:00 PM at the Edgewood Bath & Tennis Club in Middlebury, Connecticut. The Eagles are 3-1 in the all-time series against the Falcons, including sweeping them in each of the last two matchups.
