Four Players Named to CACC Weekly Awards from Men's Lacrosse -- Denike Also Earned NEILA Team of the Week

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Senior attacker Ryan Denike was named to the NEILA Team of the Week for Post University Men's Lacrosse on Monday afternoon in addition to his Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honor, which was one of four Eagles to be honored in this week's edition. Sophomore goalie Aiden Waller earned CACC Goalie of the Week, along with a Rookie of the Week accolade for freshman attacker Cameron Maunders, and sophomore midfielder Kegan Swain's Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Ryan Denike - CACC Player of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Denike turned in a team-high 11-point week for Post during a 2-0 week for the Eagles with wins against Franklin Pierce University, 14-8, on the road and a home conference win, 11-10, over Georgian Court University. Denike put in work both with goals and assists, scoring five times with an assist against the Ravens before tallying five assists against the Lions for a five-goal, six-assist week.

Aiden Waller - CACC Goalie of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Waller continued to be solid in net for Post with a perfect 2-0 record against Franklin Pierce University and Georgian Court University this week for the Eagles. Waller totaled up 29 saves in 119:11 played across the two games, allowing 18 goals total for a 61.7% save percentage and a 9.06 goals-against average as he is now 2-0 in net for Post this year.

Cameron Maunders - CACC Rookie of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Maunders scored two goals and had two assists for four points this week in a 2-0 week for Post University Men's Lacrosse. With wins over Franklin Pierce University and Georgian Court University, Maunders tallied those offensive numbers in addition to having the game-winning goal with 20 seconds left against the Lions on Saturday, helping Post beat them for the first time since 2022, 11-10.

Kegan Swain - CACC Honor Roll - Men's Lacrosse
Swain did most of his work this week on the defensive side of the ball, leading the team with eight ground balls to go along with his three points via two goals and an assist. Swain also defended the faceoff dot for Post with a 17-for-29 (58.6%) showing as the Eagles came out on top against Franklin Pierce University on the road and in their first conference game of the season at home against Georgian Court University to move to 3-1 to start the year.

Post University looks to remain unbeaten in the all-time series against the University of Bridgeport this upcoming Wednesday night at 6:00 PM on the road, as they are currently 5-0 against the Purple Knights since they first played them during the 2023 season. The Eagles have faced Bridgeport each of the last two years in the CACC Tournament's First Round, most recently winning 15-12 at home last April.
