Greene and Cunneen Highlight Five Total Eagles for CACC and NE10 Weekly Awards

WATERBURY, Conn. -- After a few weeks away from being in any of the weekly awards for their respective conferences, Post University Men's and Women's Basketball, as well as Post University Men's Ice Hockey, all made splashes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and Northeast-10 Conference awards reports. For the CACC, it was senior forward Claire Greene being honored for Women's Basketball with her first CACC Defensive Player of the Week, while her teammate, junior forward Alyssa Rossignol, made the Honor Roll along with graduate forward Derrick Thomas II and junior guard Ta'Quan Williams for Men's Basketball. In the NE10, it was senior goalie Benjamin Cunneen picking up his second NE10 Goalie of the Week honor of the season for Men's Ice Hockey, all of which were announced by the league offices on Monday afternoon.

Claire Greene - CACC Defensive Player of the Week - Women's Basketball
Greene finished the week for Post with a pair of double-doubles to help lead the Eagles to a 2-0 week. Greene closed, averaging 14 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, shooting 10-for-17 (58.8%) from the floor, nailing 6-of-8 (75%) of her threes, and 2-of-4 (50%) of her free throws. Greene put together a 10-point, 13-rebound double-double against Queens College in a 60-41 win for the Eagles, before emerging against Wilmington University with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while hitting all four of her three-point attempts. Greene also tallied five steals and four assists during the week.

Benjamin Cunneen - NE10 Goalie of the Week - Men's Ice Hockey
Cunneen finished the weekend 2-0-0 for Post, allowing only two goals across a pair of victories for the Eagles, 3-1 and 5-1, over Southern New Hampshire University. Cunneen allowed one goal in each game, while combining for 67 saves for a .971 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average after playing all 120 minutes.

Alyssa Rossignol - Honor Roll - Women's Basketball
Rossignol led Post to a pair of victories this week against Queens College and Wilmington University, averaging 21 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Eagles. Rossignol dropped 29 points in a big 25-point second half against the Knights in a 60-41 Post win, while finishing with 13 points against the Wildcats. In total, the junior was 16-for-33 (48.5%) from the floor, making 9-of-12 (75%) of her free throws with six steals, three assists, and two blocks.

Ta'Quan Williams - Honor Roll - Men's Basketball
Williams poured in 23 points on 9-for-13 (69.2%) shooting for Post to help the Eagles win their one game this week, 103-76, at home. Williams was 4-for-6 (66.7%) from three, while grabbing five rebounds, recording four assists, and four steals.

Derrick Thomas II - Honor Roll - Men's Basketball
Thomas II finished with a team-high 27 points to lead the way for Post in their lone game of the week against Wilmington University, a 103-76 victory at home. Thomas II shot 9-for-15 (60%), going 5-for-8 (62.5%) from three, and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. The graduate student also had seven rebounds and three assists.
