WATERBURY, Conn. -- With the release of the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Sportsmanship Award coming out on Friday, Post University Women's Sports had another strong showing with a fifth-place finish, while Men's Sports closed in sixth place as announced by the league office on Friday afternoon.
Only one team finished with a Sportsmanship Award for their sport, as Men's Soccer captured the title this past fall, en route to their sixth-place finish with a 7.67 average, as Chestnut Hill College came out on top with a point average of 13.43 to finish the year. On the women's side, while no teams captured the Sportsmanship Award for their sport, as a whole, they finished fifth with an 8.83 average, as Caldwell University took the crown with a 13.13 average.
The standings are determined by the total number of sportsmanship votes the institution received over the course of the fall, winter, and spring seasons in men's and women's sports, divided by the total number of male sports competed in by the institution during the three seasons. Each sport's team sportsmanship award is voted on by the league's head coaches in their respective sport. Head coaches speak with their student-athletes before voting to gain feedback on which opposing teams demonstrated outstanding class and character throughout the season.
