WATERBURY, Conn. -- During the last two days, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference released the list of those student-athletes who qualified for the CACC All-Academic Team across Men's/Women's Outdoor Track and Field, Men's/Women's Lacrosse, Women's Tennis, Men's Golf, Baseball, and Softball. With Post Athletics competing in six of those eight sports within the CACC this spring, the Eagles saw 34 student-athletes qualify for the list as announced by the league office.
The criteria in order to qualify for the All-Academic Team were as follows:
- Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically
- A student-athlete must be in their second year at their current institution
- Cumulative GPAs may not be rounded up to 3.50
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale). Cumulative GPAs may now include semester grades from the current season
- A first-year graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student
- A second-year graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) in their graduate studies program
On the field, student-athletes must have competed in at least two-thirds (67%) of their team's games/matches or started in at least half (50%) of a team's games/matches. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes.
