WATERBURY, Conn. -- With the 2025-26 athletic season just around the corner for Post University Athletics, Post University Athletic Training has squared away its staff for the year, which will feature four returning trainers along with one new addition.
For the third year, Hannah Hallissey will lead the charge as the department's Head Athletic Trainer, in charge of Football, Men's Soccer, Men's Basketball, and Women's Tennis. Hallissey is in her 12th year overall, but was named the head of the department before the 2023-24 year.
Donovan Martire will also return for his fourth go-around with the Athletic Training department, covering Women's Volleyball, Men's Ice Hockey, Softball, and Men's/Women's Golf. Martire joined back before the 2022-23 season after coming from the University of Delaware.
Both joining before the 2023-24 year, Alexis Scott and
Robert Zurzola are back for the third consecutive year as Assistant Athletic Trainers as well. Scott serves as the trainer for Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, and Men's Lacrosse, while Zurzola works with Football, Baseball, and Men's/Women's Cross Country.
Arriving just over a month ago, Alexandra Hartzell joined in July with the team from Marlton, New Jersey, after graduating from Rowan University this past spring. Hartzell served in a variety of athletic training roles across the state while pursuing her degree, and at Post will work with Women's Ice Hockey and Women's Lacrosse, secondarily serving with the Women's Tennis team.
