WATERBURY, Conn. -- On October 17th at the Wyndham in Southbury, Connecticut, Post University Athletics will be inducting a trio of members into their 2025 Hall of Fame class, which will feature Post University Baseball standout Dan Luisi, Post University Women's Lacrosse record holder Miranda Polaski, and Post Athletics Business Office Manager Cindy Carmody.
One of the greatest players to ever take the field in a Post University Baseball uniform, Luisi adds the Post University Athletics Hall of Fame to his legendary resume in 2025, 15 years after the end of his four-year career as an Eagle. Luisi played four years under Senior Associate Director of Athletics AJ McNamara from 2006 until 2010, becoming a three-year captain for the program, and rewriting the record books along the way.
In his four seasons at Post, Luisi played in 173 games, hitting .300 with 193 hits, 116 runs scored, 74 runs batted in, 93 walks, 26 stolen bases, 15 doubles, two triples, and a .947 fielding percentage. The Bethpage, New York native was a 2008 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention before being named CACC All-Conference First Team and All-ECAC First Team in 2010. As of 2025, Luisi still holds the program record for most hits (193), at-bats (638), and games played (174), while having the second-most walks in program history with 93 in his career and third-most runs scored in a career with 115.
A four-year starter, Polaski still holds a myriad of records in the Post University Women's Lacrosse record book since she concluded her playing career a decade ago. Polaski started and played in 53 career games in which she totaled 152 goals and 80 assists for 232 career points, while also netting 237 draw controls, 217 ground balls, and 89 caused turnovers over the course of her career. Polaski was the first Eagle to reach the 100 Point and 200 Point Club in program history and came back to serve as an Assistant Coach from 2019-23.
Among her records, Polaski holds the single-game free position goals record with four in a game, a mark she reached three times, while twice reaching the second-most single-game assists record with five in both 2013 and 2014. She also has the second-most single-game points with 10, set in 2013, along with tying for the second-most single-game-caused turnovers with a trio of games in which she recorded five from 2013 to 2014, the fourth-most single-game draw controls with 10 set on April 18th, 2015, and still has the single-game record for most ground balls with 12 on April 9th, 2013. All the single-game marks that Polaski was not ranked first in were originally set by her before being broken between 2020-2022.
The same can be said for Polaski's single-season records, which she held first in every category besides free position goals before being overtaken from 2018-2022. In the free position goals category, Polaski sits tied for second in a single season, recording 15 in 2015. As it stands now, she has the fourth-most single-season goals with 49 in 201,5 as well as the fourth-most single-season shots that same year with 101. The four-year star still holds three spots on the single-season caused turnovers in second with 32 in 2014, third with 31 in 2014, and fifth with 21 in 2013. The same can be said for her in the single-season points category with 79 in 2014, 69 in 2013, and 61 in 2015.
Finally, a mainstay in the Athletic Department for over 28 years as the Athletics Office Manager, Carmody was the heart and soul of the Drubner Center lobby at Post University. She was part of the institution's transfer from NAIA to its current status as a Division II program in the NCAA in the early 2000s, while serving as the liaison between the main campus and athletics on the business side of operations. Carmody was a 1970 graduate from Post Junior College and retired in 2018.
