Recruit Report: Entering Second Year in Northeast-10, Football Looking to Make Mark with New Recruiting Class

Recruit Report takes a look at all the incoming student-athletes for each program ahead of their 2025-26 athletic season and highlights all incoming student-athletes who filled out the recruitment form available to them during the summer of their first season at Post University.

WATERBURY, Conn. -- After making strides during their first season in the Northeast-10, Post University Football, led by Head Coach Adam Schultz, who has led the football program since its inception back in 2021, the Eagles won their second game in program history last year, starting the season 1-0, before finishing 1-9 overall. However, four of those nine losses came by four points or less, highlighting a shift from years past that shows the squad has become more competitive year after year, and will look to do so again with a fresh recruiting class entering the 2025 season. 

Adam Jerome
A two-sport athlete in high school, Adam Jerome attended Saint Dominic High School in New York, where he played both Basketball and Football. Jerome played running back on offense, while being utilized as a middle linebacker on the defensive side of the ball. Jerome comes from St. Albans, New York. 

Aneesh Falaise
From Stoneham, Massachusetts, and Boston College High School, Aneesh Falaise played on the defensive line during his time at BC High. During his senior season, Falaise put up 25 tackles, six tackles for losses, and 3.5 sacks. 

Avari Marshall
Coming from the Sunshine State, Avari Marshall was a two-way player at Barbara Goleman Senior High School in Miami Lakes, Florida. Earning numerous accolades before coming to Post, Marshall was a three-time First Team All-Dade GMAC, his school won back-to-back GMAC League Championships, and he was named the 2018 Offensive Rookie of the Year, 2019 Receiver of the Year, 2021-21 Athlete of the Year, Florida's Top Player of the Week in 2021, earned the 2021-22 Goleman Legacy Award, was an All-Dade Honorable Mention in 2021, the 2020 National Sophomore Showcase MVP for Football Hotbed, and in 2021-22 alone was the Defensive Back, Scholar-Athlete, and Team Overall MVP Athlete of the Year for Football. Also running for the track team, Marshall was named the 2021-21 Athlete of the Year in the sport along with setting three school records in the 100-Meter Run, 200-Meter Run, and 4x100 Relay, and was originally a Division I signing to Delaware State University for both sports. 

Avi Ben-David
Recording seven catches for 45 yards and contributing 400 total yards on punt and kick returns, Avi Ben-David comes to Post University from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where he attended Cherry Hill High School West. 

Bradley Schwartz
A three-time player on the United States National Team and four-star Rubio long snapper, Bradley Schwartz played both center and the long snapper position at General Douglas MacArthur Senior High School as a four-year starter. Schwartz was also named an All-Region player during his time playing for the New York-based school. 

Branden Cole
Shoring things up on the offensive front, Branden Cole will look to help protect the quarterback as a left tackle and left guard after earning Offensive Lineman of the Year during his senior season and being an All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior. Cole comes from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he attended nearby Robbinsdale Armstrong High School. 

Bryce Coulanges
Playing both wide receiver and safety, Bryce Coulanges dominated during his senior year at Monoroe Woodbury High School in Central Valley, New York. As a junior, he was named the Rookie of the Year after rushing for 10.8 yards per carry, before putting together an electric final seven games in 2025. Coulanges finished with 13 receptions for 315 yards and five touchdowns while carrying the rock for 135 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. Defensively, he tallied 25 solo tackles and an interception as well as 522 all-purpose yards with two punt returns for 72 yards on special teams. 

Canefe Dayioglu
Looking to add something to special teams, kicker/punter Canefe Dayioglu joins the squad, having put up 38 extra points, recovering three kickoffs, and having three solo tackles in his role with Northern Valley Demarest High School in his hometown of Demarest, New Jersey. 

Christopher Torrisi
Another two-sport athlete coming to Post, Christopher Torrisi, will play Football in the fall before turning his attention to Men's Lacrosse in the spring. Torrisi played wide receiver at Pearl River High School, where he had the longest kick return on his team, which went for 80 yards, while making 10 catches for 89 yards and scoring the team's first touchdown of the 2024-25 season. The freshman comes from Tappan, New York.

Corbett Brickle Jr.
A two-time captain who was named to the Blue-Grey All-American Team his senior season, in addition to his First Team All-League honors and two First Team All-Conference accolades, Corbett Brickle Jr. looks to fill up another spot on the offensive and potential defensive line for Adam Schultz's squad. Brickle Jr. played on both ends of the ball, recording 72 tackles, 24 sacks, two forced fumbles, one pass block, and 106 pancakes all in his senior season.

Daniel Pagan
Coming from Newark, New Jersey, Daniel Pagan anchored the defensive line down at both Weequahic High School and Montclair High School, tallying up a total of 53 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, two safeties, and a forced fumble during his time on the field. Pagan's team won the Robeson Classic All-Star Game, and the freshman played primarily defensive tackle and defensive end.

Daniel Vargas
Starting two years on the Varsity team at Union City High School, Daniel Vargas specialized in the cornerback position, where he had 90 tackles, eight pass breakups, and two interceptions. Vargas comes from Jersey City, New Jersey. 

De'Angelo Alston
A participant in the Shrine Bowl, quarterback De'Angelo Alston comes to Post from Saco, Maine, after playing at Scarborough High School. 

Dylan McCollough
Graduating from Monmouth Regional High School, Dylan McCollough will enter the 2025 season as an Eagle from Eatontown, New Jersey, with his primary position being at wide receiver. 

Jadon Gibbs
Named to the All-Western Massachusetts Football and Track & Field Teams as well as the All-Massachusetts Football Division III Team, Jadon Gibbs will play at the center position for the Eagles. Gibbs comes from Springfield, Massachusetts, where he attended Westfield High School. 

John Pignato
A linebacker from Action, Massachusetts, John Pignato attended Bridgton Academy in Maine, where he was a Team Captain in 2023 as well as a DCL All-Star in 2022. 

Joseph Galeotafiore
Another addition to the quarterback room, Joseph Galeotafiore, went to Saint Dominic High School in Oyster Bay, New York, and will also look to be part of the Baseball team at Post this year. Galeotafiore was All-League for Football as well as an All-State Finalist to go along with his All-Offense Catholic League Football accolade, while earning All-League in Baseball too. 

Kenley Candil
Kenley Candil played for Piscataway High School in Piscataway, New Jersey, as both a cornerback and wide receiver for his squad. Candil had six interceptions, including a pick-six in 2024, to go along with three touchdowns on the offensive end. 

Omar Tillman
Also coming from Union City High School, edge rusher Omar Tillman strung together three solid seasons at the school, in which he had 10-plus sacks each year. Tillman finished his three years with 33 sacks, 106 tackles for loss, 231 total tackles, seven fumble recoveries, and two blocks. Tillman was named Defensive MVP and First Team All-State.

Richard Williams Jr.
A New Jersey native, Richard Williams Jr. has plenty of awards to his name over the last two years of playing at Montclair High School in Montclair, New Jersey. Williams Jr. was a BATB Game MVP, First Team All-Conference, Montclair Defensive MVP, New Jersey All-State, and a Phil Simms All-Star in 2024 alone. This went along with his 2023 Second Team All-Conference nod as well. During his senior season, Williams Jr. recorded 93 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. 

Robert Young
A running back from nearby Fairfield Prep, Robert Young is a native of Norwalk, Connecticut, as he heads into his freshman year at Post University.
