WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time in program history, Post University Football has an All-New England recipient as freshman wide receiver Israel Hiraldo was named to the New England Football Writers Association Division II/III All-New England Team as a kickoff return specialist, announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.

Hiraldo was just named NE10 First Team Offense for wide receiver and kickoff return specialist as well as All-Rookie Team in a campaign where he was the New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Award winner back in week three, when he was also NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week and D2Football.com Special Teams Player of the Week, with two more NE10 Rookie of the Week honors in tow. The freshman led the team in receptions and receiving yards with 42 for 645 yards, hauling in a team-high six touchdowns. On special teams, Hiraldo had two kick returns for touchdowns, totaling 458 yards on 15 attempts, as well as 170 punt return yards on 12 attempts. Hiraldo's special team numbers took a hit as the season went on, as teams refused to kick or punt in his direction due to his game-changing speed and success in the return game.
