FLUSHING, N.Y. -- With the entire team making the trip down to the New York area for the ITA DII Men's and Women's East Regional Championships, Post University Women's Tennis saw themselves carry a couple of players into the Round of 64 for the Women's Open Singles as well as a duo into the Round of 32 Women's Open Doubles before bowing out. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
All seven players from Post University competed in at least one Singles or one Doubles match with senior Nina Langenfeld making it past New Haven's Elaina Morosky in the Singles Round of 128 in three sets before being ousted by Adelphi's Roisin Boyd in the Round of 64 in straight sets. 

Senior Megan Lombardt also advanced past the Round of 128 in the Women's Singles as she had a Bye before St. Thomas Aquinas College's Ombeline Robilliart defeated her in straight sets in the Round of 64.

The only duo to advance past the Round of 64 in the Women's Doubles would be freshmen Julie Merlin and Annelein Van Urk as they received a Bye before New Haven's Risako Umekuni and Victoria Togores won their match in the Round of 32 against them, 8-3.

WHO'S NEXT
Post University will play their next regular match against Jefferson University in their conference opener at home on September 17th with a 3:00 PM scheduled start time from Edgewood Bath and Tennis Club. The Eagles are 3-16 all-time against the Rams with losses in seven straight matches to them. The last time Post picked up a win was October 13th, 2018 with a 5-2 home win over Jefferson.
