Women's Basketball Finishes 22nd in Nationwide WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for Division II

WATERBURY, Conn. -- In a program first for Post University Women's Basketball under first-year Head Coach Courtney Burns, the Eagles were named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association 2023-24 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for Division II, ranking 22nd among all Division II Women's Basketball programs in the NCAA as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon. 

For the last 29 years, the WBCA honors the top 25 NCAA Division I through Division III institutions as well as NAIA and two-year colleges with women's basketball teams across the nation for the highest team grade point averages throughout the academic year which totaled 112 teams being honored in this year's edition. 

Among the top 25 in Division II, Post was one of five teams from the East Region and one of two from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to be nationally ranked academically alongside Southern New Hampshire (24th - 3.650 GPA), Chestnut Hill (19th - 3.692 GPA), Pace (18th - 3.713 GPA), and St. Thomas Aquinas (15th - 3.719 GPA). The Eagles finished 22nd with a GPA of 3.665 under the guidance of Burns who came over from Division III Mitchell College last summer.
