WATERBURY, Conn. -- The year of firsts continues to roll on for Post University Men's Lacrosse as does the trophy cabinet for junior midfielder
Tim Keefe. After being named to the NEILA All-New England Second Team less than 24 hours ago, news broke this morning from the USILA that the junior was named an All-American Honorable Mention by the organization after his season as an Eagle. Being named an All-American in any capacity marks the first time in program history in which a Post University Men's Lacrosse athlete has reached that accolade with the previous milestone being an All-Region appearance.
When all is set and done, Keefe now owns a trifecta of postseason honors which etches him in the record books as the first Men's Lacrosse player from Post to do so after he achieved CACC First Team All-Conference, was All-Region for both the USILA (Third Team) and NEILA (Second Team), and now is a USILA All-American Honorable Mention.
Before this season, no Post player had made the All-Region team for both the USILA and NEILA in the same season nor made one of the three All-Region teams for the USILA. Last season, Braeden Lockyer became the first Eagle to be on the USILA All-Region team and was an Honorable Mention while Keefe became the first to make one of the three teams clocking in the Third Team.
Keefe had a balanced year for Post after scoring 45 goals and adding 43 assists for a total of 88 points. His numbers led him to the all-time single-season assist, points, and shots records while all his numbers across the board were new career highs for him.
