WATERBURY, Conn. -- It was another big week for award winners at Post University as junior forward
Deng Deang and graduate forward
Taina Pagan both earned CACC Defensive Player of the Week for Post Men's and Women's Basketball. It was the first solo Defensive Player of the Week award for Pagan who earned Co-Defensive back in November while Deang earned his second Defensive Player of the Week and first since the middle of November.

Roksana Debicka for Women's Lacrosse, and senior attacker
Dylan Heald for Men's Lacrosse.
Deng Deang - Defensive Player of the Week - Men's Basketball
Deang led Post University Men's Basketball through a critical two-game stretch this week in which the Eagles won a pair of big conference matchups against Holy Family University and Felician University. In a 19-point victory over the Tigers, Deang had his seventh double-double of the season with 21 points and 13 rebounds before scoring five points and grabbing seven rebounds in a 31-point win over the Golden Falcons on Saturday. In all, Deang averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 11-for-27 (40.7%) overall and 2-for-5 from three-point range as well as the free throw line. Deang also had three blocks, an assist, and a steal during the 2-0 week.
Taina Pagan - Defensive Player of the Week - Women's Basketball
Pagan played a key role offensively and defensively for Post University Women's Basketball in their lone game of the week against Felician University at home which inched the Eagles closer to the North Division title after a 66-58 win. Pagan was a key cog of the offense and defense after scoring eight points on 2-of-3 shooting in 19 minutes while hitting 4-of-5 free throws, but made her presence felt in a big way on defense. The forward would grab eight total rebounds, two of which would be on the offensive side of the ball, while blocking four shots, making one steal, and also dishing out an assist.
DJ Caron - Honor Roll - Baseball
Caron upped his hitting streak to six straight games after an 8-for-22 weekend for Post University Baseball during their five-game slate in Myrtle Beach. Caron was tied for the team lead in hits with
Evan Cornwell while have two doubles, two RBIs, a stolen base, a walk, and a home run to help the Eagles win three of their five games in South Carolina, including a big win over regionally-ranked Franklin Pierce.
Dylan Heald - Honor Roll - Men's Lacrosse
Heald led Post University Men's Lacrosse offensively despite an 0-2 week for the Eagles with losses at Franklin Pierce and Saint Rose. Heald had a team-high six goals, including five against the Golden Knights, while chipping in on four more goals for a total of 10 points on the week. The senior also picked up five ground balls and scored on 50% of his total shots while successfully scoring on 83.3% of his shots on goal.
Roksana Debicka - Honor Roll - Women's Lacrosse
Debicka had a big debut for Post University Women's Lacrosse this weekend at D'Youville in the Eagles' 2024 season opener. Debicka had a hat trick in the first half of the contest to help Post jump out to a 5-2 lead early on before the Saints responded with a big second half. Debicka led the way in ground balls with five while also getting two draw controls and two caused turnovers in the contest.
