Four From Football Highlight First-Ever NE10 All-Conference Release in Program History

WATERBURY, Conn. -- In their first season as part of the Northeast-10 Conference, Post University Football saw four players named to the NE10 All-Conference Teams released Thursday afternoon by the league office as junior wide receiver Joshua Tracey earned both First and Second Team Offense while sophomore linebacker Michael Gabettie was named to the Second Team defense and freshman safety Myles Snead along with freshman running back Adonis White both made the All-Rookie Team.

The nod for Tracey on both teams comes as no surprise as he was second in the entire NE10 with 882 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns with a conference-leading 21.5 yards per catch and second-highest yards per game with 88.2 on the season. The junior was named to the First Team Offense for his wide receiver duties while earning Second Team Offense for his return specialist duties as an Eagle. Snagging 18 kickoff returns, Tracey took two to the house, including a 95-yard return this season, for a total of 492 kickoff return yards which averaged out to 27.3 per attempt and 49.2 yards per game. The Avon, Connecticut native played in nine of the 10 games that Post had this season missing out on the road game against Assumption University, and was the Week 3 New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Award winner as well as took home one NE10 Offensive Player and Special Teams Player of the Week.

Making Second Team Defense for the NE10 should also come as no surprise for Michael Gabettie after he led the entire conference with 75 solo tackles and 61 assisted tackles for a total of 136 tackles and an average of 13.6 tackles per game which he led the conference in both categories for. The sophomore finished second in the nation for total tackles at 136 behind only Wilfredo Diaz of Edinboro University who had 150 total tackles in 11 games which gave him and Gabettie the same tackles per game average to lead the nation. The Dumont, New Jersey native also recorded 6.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one sack, and one pass breakup.

Named to the All-Rookie Team, Snead was a four-time NE10 Rookie of the Week for Post, doing so in four straight weeks from September to early October. The safety had 79 total tackles after registering 45 solo tackles and 34 assisted tackles as well as breaking up three passes and intercepting one against Saint Anselm College. Snead recorded three games with double-digit tackles, peaking at 13 tackles against the Hawks while also going for 12 tackles against Bentley University and 10 tackles against West Virginia Wesleyan University. Also on the All-Rookie Team was White who rushed 44 times over the course of 10 games for a total of 160 yards while catching five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown and returned two kickoffs for a total of 15 yards as well as four punts for 79 yards.
