PHILADELPHIA, Penn. -- After taking last week off in preparation for this week's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship meet, Post University Cross Country headed down to Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the big day on Sunday morning in which senior Drew Paskanik would close out his conference career as an Eagle.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
For the CACC Championship, the top finisher would be named Runner of the Year while the top 15 would be named to the CACC All-Conference Team for the 2024 season. Paskanik, being the lone runner from the Eagles, would find himself just outside of that threshold with a 28th-place finish in a time of 30:00.29 which was just about a minute and 15 seconds off the pace of Edoardo Vandelli of the University of Bridgeport to push inside that top 15. 

Caldwell University's Tilak Datta won the meet for the third straight season, finishing in 26:14.70 which was nearly a minute ahead of Dan Wyshinski of Wilmington University who finished in second place alongside his teammate Trent Taylor in third place in a time of 27:24.58 in the race.

For Paskanik, it was a new personal best at the CACC Championship in his senior year as his first year with the Eagles he finished 32nd in a time of 30:22.20 in 2021 then 39th his sophomore year in a time of 31:55.40 before a 45th-place finish in 31:58.90 last year. 

As for the team results, the Eagles would not qualify in the standings as they needed a minimum of five runners to cross the finish line, it would be Wilmington University completing their back-to-back title hopes with a team score of 49 points followed by Caldwell University in second place at 67 points, and Jefferson University rounding out the top three with a team score of 80 points.
