Alex Cole Places in Top 50 for Men's Cross Country at James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Alex Cole turned in his personal best of the 2025 season for Post University Men's Cross Country, finishing 45th at the James Earley Invitational in 28:28.20 as all three Eagles turned in strong performances in their penultimate meet before the CACC Championship in a couple of weeks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Cole's finish was his fastest of the season by almost two minutes after he ran a 30:17.50 at the Golden Eagle Invitational back in September, which was his previous best. Ryan Hardiman from Williams won the entire event in 25:23.10, seven seconds faster than Fitchburg State University's Paulino Guevara Mateo. The Ephs also won the team title with only 19 points, while Maine-Farmington finished second with 144 team points.

Freshman Anthony Guallpa nearly cracked his personal best as well, running three seconds faster than last week with his 34:40.90 time in 164th place, while being 36 seconds off his PR at the Golden Eagle Invitational. Fellow freshman Marcus Wilson finished ahead of Guallpa in 115th place at 33:36.00, over a minute faster than his last time out.

Post University heads to the CACC Championship meet next, which will take place on October 26th at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
