WATERBURY, Conn. -- Sophomore linebacker
Michael Gabettie became the first player in program history for Post University Football to be named to the Northeast-10's Faces in the Crowd for Week Six after his standout performance against Southern Connecticut State University last Saturday as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Gabettie followed up his program-record performance against Saint Anselm College when he had 21 tackles with 17 total tackles for the Eagles. Of his 17 tackles, nine were solo and eight were assisted and led to 1.5 tackles for a loss leading to three lost yards against the Owls last week. Gabettie also had one forced fumble in the 31-27 loss and now had 80 total tackles on the season for the Eagles.
Post University goes up to Franklin Pierce University where they got their first win in program history last October, 16-13, on a rainy day in Rindge, New Hampshire. The previous matchup before that in 2022 saw the Eagles fall 42-19 against the Ravens at Municipal Stadium on October 29th.
